Pear losing GPS signal

During my last run Pear (on my Samsung S6) halted (multiple time) because it could not find a GPS signal.....this has never happened to me over the 4 months I have been using the app. This was puzzling because the GPS showed 3 bars and other applications seemed able to maintain a GPS connection. I did notice that if I didn't dim the display (which I assumes puts app into the background) the issue seemed to be less "frequent".

I know that Android was recently updated. I have also heard of other apps having problems running in the background. I am therefore wondering if there is an issue with Pear.

My wife has a new iPhone 6 and her Pear app will not connect to the GPS. She can open Maps and navigate just fine but Pear will show her staying in one position for the duration of her run.

I am having the same issue- iPhone 7. GPS will not work even though I have location services turned

Hello. Please be sure your Location is set to "Always" to ensure GPS is on.

Go to Settings.
Scroll down and tap on PEAR.
Make sure Location is set to "Always."

I am having the same issue with iphone 7, it will pause the workout out constantly, it's very annoying because it doesn't keep good track of my progress.
I went to settings and set it to 'always', it still doesn't work properly.
It defeats the main purpose of the app for me which is to keep track of my workouts, measure my heart rate with the apple watch ( this also has issues).
